Need Some Amp Advice

Now that I have fixed my turntable (JVC AL-E500), can anyone recommend me a cheap(ish) amp that I could connect to the turntable so I can start converting my LPs to wav format? I have read that I need an amp with tape outputs.

Errrrm would not a sound card do the job......?

Straight from the turn table to the pci/usb card?

I'm sure I've come across an in/out volume adjustment somewhere that allows for the turn table input.
