Looking for a new laptop within a £500 budget, though there is room to wiggle.

Requirements:
  • Runs well, has decent CPU (I hear 6th gen i5 or i7 are the ones to go for currently)
  • Capable of light gaming (I tend to game on consoles so this is not a deal breaker, but the option is always nice)
  • No overheating/stuttering when watching videos or gaming
  • HDMI out
Preferable but not a must:
  • Decent screen, 15.6inch (720p is fine, but anything above is a bonus)
  • Separate GPU (if it improves performance but doesn't break the bank)
  • USB 3.0
  • SSD (possibly in addition to a large HDD)
  • 8GB or above
  • DVD R/W (for those classic pc games I still own)
Here are some deals I've eyed up on TechRadar, and I need your help to determine whether they fit my needs as detailed above:
If you know of any other deals or where I can pick up better laptops for a similar price then please let me know. All feedback and advice will be greatly appreciated. Hoping to pick one up by Monday.

Many thanks in advance.

none of them are even decent for "light" gaming unfortunately, laptops for gaming are generally way more expensive than their PC counterparts. I configured a PC on pcspecialist with an Intel i5 CPU @ 3.2GHz, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, 120GB SSD, Nvidia Geforce 950M. for that you are looking at around £700.

Hmm, I figured as much. Maybe I'll just ditch the idea of gaming on a laptop and build a pc in the future. Which laptops would you recommend for my other needs? Basically that it runs well and speedily, and doesn't overheat when watching video.

The Acer laptop you posted should be good for watching videos and general use etc.

Cool, I'll look into that one. My last Acer treated me well and the reviews seem solid.

If I see any others I'll post it hear as to hear your valuable opinions on them. And please don't hesitate to inform me of any better deals you may know of. Thanks again.

I've come across this laptop:

Acer Aspire E5-574 - £405

How do you think it compares to the laptops from my original post? In reference to the F5-571: is it worth the extra £35 for the 6th gen i5 and the 8GB SSD (although I read that it cannot be accessed in one review... not sure how true this is). Note that it also has 4GB less in ram.
