Just finished conversion of garage into home cinema with surround 5.1.

Unfortunately I need to extend 2 of the speaker cables (badly planned I know).

My question is simply what is the best way of doing this as I can`t access the cables to re-route.

Will simply splicing them be ok or should I solder or can you buy connector clips??

    Many Thanks

That should be ok and cover any gaps with electric tape to make sure there not exposed.

Definitely solder, unless you have a really good crimping tool. The aim is to minimize joint electrical resistance and to provide a reliable robust mechanical joint.
