Need help with my Subwoofer

Hi guys I have a Jbl 180/230 subwoofer plugged in via high level and lfe to my Yamaha Rx-V461(lost the controller can't change the xover settings thus the high and low level inputs) receiver. I have realised that when there's any low low frequency stuff in the movie track(mad max fury road), my sub woofer makes sort of a car engine noise instead of making the very low sound track when there's an explosion or something. It works great for music though and for bass that dosent go as deep as it does in Mad Max. Tried pushing down on my cone and all to check for any coil damages but dosent seem to have any. Would greatly appreciate any help as I'm quite new to the audio game for subs!

<-- 17 seconds in when the car engine starts and makes the clicking noise is almost 1:1 the sound my sub makes when theres super low frequencies from a movie
