Until fairly recently I was using Microsoft Office '97 and was reasonable used to the functions within the various parts of it.

I have recently moved to the latest version and I'm struggling to do things which were so simple before. I used Wordart quite often and it was easy to put it wherever I wanted on the page. Just click on it and drag it wherever you want and leave it there. Not now though, it puts itself wherever the cursor is and will not be moved whatever I do. I can resize it, stretch it or make it wider or narrower, but I cannot move it to where I want it on the page.

Is it me? or has everyone got the same problem? The same thing is happening with pictures as well. It is really frustrating.

Has anyone got the answer to this please, I will be so grateful.:lease: :lease:

you have to chose a 'text wrapping' option i.e. behind text or whatever, then you can drag it around.

Why on earth did they remove the facility to do it without having to do something like this.

In my opinion it's a backward step, I will never understand programmers that change things that didn't need changing.:thumbsdow

I second that, spacing, margins and positioning is attrocious. Even columns are a bit funky in 2003.

My particular hatred is when you want to do a couple of words in bold or italics, and it insists on making everything you type in italics, and then you turn it off, and it turns it back on again, and you have to keep doing it again and again.

Does it tell you that your grammer is wrong, even when it isn't. Consider rearranging this you bastards.

And why is that stupid drawing canvas on by default, even when all you want to do is draw an arrow from a bit of text to a graphic - e.g. a screen shot. That 'feature' gets turned off pretty sharprish here!

    This still makes me laugh:

No, but it does tell you when your grammar is wrong ;)

Not really - no idea why it's not in the swear filter.
