    Hi guy's,
Iv'e just taken delivery of a new digital audio cable 1694A (belden)
to replace my optical cable connecting my pioneer 575 dvd player to my kenwood KRF-V5050D.
When i removed the optical and connected the digital coax i got no sound!?
I connected the cable via coax out (dvd player) and digital in,dvd,(amp).
I disconnected the coax and reconnected the optical and it worked fine again?
Iv'e looked at the manual and settings but can find nothing wrong.
Am i missing something obvious or is there a bigger problem?

    Cheers,
    Q. :(

Do you need to tell your amp which input to use?

check the DVD manual maybe you have to select output type. Sometimes they need to be disabled when not in use to avoid potentialy dangerous noise output.
