I am looking for a 2nd room receiver with rds:

    1.It needs to have speaker A , B & A+B switching.

2.It needs phono socket inputs to take a turntable.

    3.Hopefully around 50watts rms/channel.

    4.Hopefully quite cheap. £140 max.(ex-demo would do)

I was thinking about the yamaha rxv396rds(£140 from r.s) but found it does not have phono inputs'' Can anyone recommend a receiver that has all these facilities?

P.S I have just seen a turntable(sony psj20) in currys that said it had a built in amp so the phono`s went into an aux input. Are these anygood compared with normal turntables?(a turntable like this might solve my problem with the yam 396). Any help/advise
    please. thanks wattman :D

Have a look at at the Technics SADX750 I think RS do them at £150 for the 750. I have the 950 which has every thing you are looking for but will cost you £210+ The 750 is the baby of the range but with 80 watt Rms, phono stage, and DD + 6CH. My 950 has A,B & A+B so take a look at your local dealer.:D :D :D
