I've always been a bit of a techno-snob, and would never have dreamt of buying ALBA kit until I saw the reviews the DVD103 received. I've had it a year now, but on playing " The Lord of the Rings" today - launch day - I find that much of the programme has 'jumps' in the audio (may also be present in the video, but less noticeable). I've seen this to a much lesser extent on other discs. The gaps in sound are for only a split-second, but are very off-putting.

Any ideas what this is - Is it a disc problem, or the player?

    Thanks for your help
