Hello all,

I'm in the process of selling my old interconnects, which I bought back in 1992 but I don't remember anything about them.

I remember they were very well quoted back then, and that they were made from silver but that's it.
They are 50cm in length.

Here's a photo, hoping someone can help me identify them.

Thanks

Hugo

they look like kimber interconnects but i couldn't tell which variation they are

They look like Kimber PBJ, but I don't think they actually are.

You can view some photos here.

I suspect they are simply made around the same concept. Rather than full shielding, the more limited shielding comes from twisting the Ground wire with the Signal Wire.

I will say the pair in the Photo you provided seem to have a very tight twist - more turns per linear inch of cable. That's a good thing. Again, if they work ... fine.

Here is another type based on the same Twisted Pair design -

Actually I think it might be a Twisted-3 - 2 Ground Wires twisted around a single Signal Wire. Even the Kimber appear to be 3 wires twisted together (Red/Black/Blue).

That is a valid method, but I personally wouldn't trust it. I would much rather have standard full shield coaxial cable.

If the works, and they don't pick up noise, I would expect them to be fine.

Hello all,

Thank you very much for the reply. I have been contacted yet by other people but, unable to identify the model it is becoming hard to sell them.

Is there a possibility that they are some sort of knock-off? :-(

It is entirely possible that they are not a Brand of wire, but rather someone just put them together themselves.

Next to impossible to identify the wire when it has no marking of any kind.
