Hello, this is my first post here and I've registered in the hope of finding a solution to something i found out here last night.
Long story short, i have an LG RHT398H DVD HDD recorder and found in one of the sub-forums a way to change the region. i wasn't careful and changed one of the OPcodes.
the unit seemingly still works as intended but i'm sure something must've got disabled or something. i would appreciate it if someone, anyone, who has the exact same unit to enter into the service menu and type out the original OPCodes on here for me. of course it might be easier to take a snapshot of the screen instead.
they look like this:
OP1-DA
OP2-B0
OP3-03
OP4-70
OP5-0E
OP6-AF
OP7-47
OP8-02
OP9-00
OPA-00
i've tried googling for OPCodes for the RHT398H with no luck.
anyone with the same unit as me can access their Service Menu. all you need to do is:
1) Switch on the player.
2) Hold down EJECT on the player and CLEAR on the remote at the same time for more than 6 seconds.
3) When the service menu appears DO NOT use the cursor keys on the remote to move about as doing so will start changing the hexadecimal codes. i only need codes for OP1 and OP6. but would be nice to double check against all of the codes.
Thank you.
