    Hey,

Ok getting my first home cinema kit on Saturday, Kef KHT 2005 (Mk1) and a Sony STR-DB940 Receiver.

Hooking it up to a Pioneer DV350 and Philips Widescreen tv.

Anyway, got the scart cable from the TV to do the DVD, QED AV21 RGB job.

Now, need cables for the DVD -> Receiver and Receiver -> Speakers.

Need to get a coaxial cable for DVD -> Receiver (DVD only has this), have a few in mind, MarkGrant(?) on here sells them? Anyway, any recommendations other than that?

Now the most important cables, the speaker cables. Been looking at the Cable Talk 3.1 and the QED Silver Anniversary. QED is going to come in at too much for all 5, and someone said I will REALLY notice the Cable Talk 3.1 around the room.

Going to use a standard phono cable for the sub -> receiver.

Any other recommendations? Are these all the cables I will need?

    Cheers,
    Chris :)

I'm in a similar situation. My HK/Infinity package is coming on Friday and I'm thinking about connections too. I already have three excellent Scart leads so I'm sorted on that front.

I was planning on using the QED Silver Anniversary cable to connect the front speakers, and the QED micro to connect the surround and rear speakers.

I haven't thought too much about connecting the dvd, Sky+ and dvdRW to the Amp yet. All I need is to connect the digital outs from the sources to the Amp isn't it?

Hope the manual's a good one.
