    Hi folks,
I am currently in the process of changing my projection over to the world of CRT but it's taking a while.
So i'm wondering if any of you know where i can get a cheap replacement lamp for my Sanyo Z1 (POA-LMP54) until i'm ready to get my CRT set up and working. Or is there an alternative like a copy of the lamp out there thats cheaper than the Sanyo ones??? The thing is i don't want to spend a fortune on a lamp that i'm probably only going to use for a few months.

    Thanks for any help folks,
    John.

Hi Gary i have a Barco Data800 that i purchased from Andrenochrome.

Thanks for the link but i wasn't thinking of spending £200. i probably couldn't sell the Sanyo for much more than that even with a new lamp in

I think you'd be lucky to find a lamp for less than £200 unless one came up on ebay maybe.

Who are you getting to set up your CRT?

    Gary.

You should see a bit of an improvement in the image over the Sanyo. :)

Woukd like to hear your opinions of them both though.

I'll keep you posted mate. I really can't wait to see the Barco up and running. When i asked Chris if there would be a big enough improvement over the Sanyo to justify the investment he just grinned and said you'll see, ha ha.

Like i said i'll keep you informed,
    Take care,
    John.

Keep an eye on Ebay. I've just spent hours looking myself for a new Panny 700 lamp, the cheapest being £235 from a UK retailer. Luckily got a link to Ebay selling the 700 lamp under the lamp model number on the main description and not 'Panasonic 700 lamp'. Paid £92 for it, new boxed, from an Ebayer with 100% feedback (hope it comes  ).

If I get it and if it works. Definatley worth finding the lamp model number though and putting that into a search as I assume company's sell these lamps like this. I'll post if the product as is stated!
