    taking a guess as i dont know the philips or the wharfdale but i woudl do the following

    WHARFDALE 250DTRHDMI (PVR) Optical -> AV61 / HDMI > PANNY HD TH37PX
    YAMAHA AV61 (AV RECEIVER) - > Component > PANNY HD TH37PX
    PHILIPS DVP 5960 (DVD PLAYER) > Component / Optical > AV61

    it would be classed as an All-in-One as the reciever and speakers come together.
    you have a Yamaha AV61,which is a pack.
    search on this topic for that system,in this forum,and you will find info on it.

    My mistake, i always thought it was classed as an all in 1 if it had a dvd with it.
    I have searched and found info on the yamaha but still unsure on how to connect it to the other bits.

    Hi SibTiger33, how would i connect the DVD player up?
    Unless i'm mistaken you've only allowed for the audio from the dvd player?
    Cheers

    use a component cable and an optical cable

    component into the av61
    and an optical into the av61

    gives u audio/video

    and then an component out of the av61 to your tv

    or just an optical cable from dvd player to av61
    and then an hdmi cable from philips to tv
