Hope this is the right forum to post this in.

Im after a way to plug a microphone into my amplifier (Pioneer VSX-819H-K) as it doesn't have a way of plugging one in.

    it's not for karaoke use.

Any suggestions? I'm in need of it by Saturday.

    Thanks :)

You will need a microphone pre-amp or better still a mic mixer to get the Mic level upto line level. Then you could use any input like CD,DVD,TV etc.

Used to build them many years ago but have never brought one or kept in touch.
A simple and very basic mic mixer or even a cheap and chearful mini Disco mixer with stereo out would do the job.

That should work but you have no independant control over the microphone phone (Volume).
A Simple mixer would be better then if you wanted to add say a CD deck to introduce music then you have full control.
