Hi. I am in the UK and am looking to a buy a new Mini-DV camera within the next few days. I have looked at many reviews, but am still a bit up in the air as to what I should go for.

I am leaning towards the Sony HC42 at the moment (which seems great value), but I'm wondering if spending a little bit more would be worth it? Or if the Sony really is the best all rounder in this price bracket?

I've heard good things about some of the Canon cameras also.

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks...
