Hi All! Just bought a Bush Acoustic TT2 Turntable to record my old vinyl onto PC via my Philips LX700 Home Cinema Tuner/Amp. I've hooked up the turntable (It has inbuilt pre-amp) to the Aux Input and it sounds fine. The Philips amp has Audio Out RCA Phono sockets which I've hooked up to my PC's Soundcard Line In using a 2xPhono to 3.5mm Stereo Jack plug. I can record the turntable output and anything else connected to the amp for that matter to the PC and the results are very good. I just need clarification of one point. Am I correct in assuming that the output of the amp's Audio Out sockets is at a fixed level? I was still able to record the amp's output even when I turned down the volume control on the amplifier to zero. Also do any adjustments to the sound controls on the amp made during recording (Bass/Treble, Surround mode etc.) have any effect on the recording being made via the Line Out sockets? Again, I believe not...I think they just affect the sound output by the speakers, but I need a second opinion! Thanks in advance for any help.
