I recently format the hard drive an reinstalled windows on my PC.

I can't find the disc's that came with my camera and when I go to download the software from canons website I get

So I can't get my pics off the camera onto my PC.

Is there anywhere else I can download the files from or is there any other program that will let me get my pics onto my PC?

Thats what I have been trying. I can select my camera from the list then it shows all programs. Choose one of the programs, accept the agreement thingy which takes me too the download page then after a few seconds I get....

Dont think canons downloads are ever for a fresh install, you always requier to install off the CD first.

Someone should be able to clone the CD and send you a copy(its not exactly theft..) - I would but I is the other side of the planet.

in my opinion, the software was un-needed, its a plug n play cam so you can easily import the photo's then if you need to do any exposure work etc, just load up lightroom:thumbsup: If you still require the software then maybe try using a p2p software as theres plenty of legal resources knocking about:thumbsup:

You can use lightroom, or picasa etc to umport & work on RAW's etc.

But DPP has some custom lens functions thesedays that arnt in other software, and I dont think anything else is capable of remote driving canon cameras?

Why not buy a cheap card reader - they are quicker than using the canon software as well
