    Hi all (me again)

Thanks so far for all your help and advice in other threads.

As I have said in another thread to ease installation and have less cables going to my forthcoming (not yet decided) Plasma screen I may pruchase an upgrade amp from my Kenwood KRF 5050d.

The 2 in my price range that I have seen are:-

    Denon AVR-1705 - 250 quid(which has 2 x optical in + 1 coax in, + 3 component in + 1 component out, 3 x s-video in etc, but no scart) and the Pioneer VSX-C402 - 209 quid (same as above + 3 x scarts I believe).

I believe the Denon(6:1) is a better quality amp and does more than the pioneer(5:1), is this right?

If there are any Amp heads out there that keep an eye on the budget end of the market like these two which one guys??????

    Thanks
    Yorkie

What else is the amp going to be driving? Would you want to convert everything into componant video to feed the plasma?

IMHO the Denon will slaughter the Pioneer in every department :D
