    hello,

was wondering if anyone can help find a suitable tv..needs to be digital/freeview, and also can't exceed 39cm height (including stand). a reliable tv/brand preferably..with decent enough sound too etc

it seems the 19" tvs are a few cm too high, there doesnt appear to be many 17" tvs at all..so it looks like its going to have to be a 15" tele.

the only ones i have been able to find thus far are:

    Hitachi:

    Wharfedale:

does anyone know if these are any good? or are there better tvs out there that fit the criteria?
also, where is good to order from?

    thanks very much!

thanks for the reply jazzy...ive also just found that a lot of 19" tvs are the same height as the 15" ones...so its back to square one for the moment!

so far, im liking the look of:

    SAMSUNG
    http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5290963/Trail/searchtext%3ESAMSUNG.htm

    and

    LG
    http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5293173/Trail/C%24cip%3D1500011405.Sound%2Band%2Bvision%3EC%24cip%3D1500011489.Televisions%3EC%24Brands%3DLG.LG.htm

these seem to have much higher contrast ratios..
the tallest, including the stand, is the LG at 39.66cm...which just squeezes under the unit..so can't really go any taller than this...

    thanks again
    Louise

Is it worth an extra £100 for Freeview ?
Surely you can buy even one of those Scart Digital receivers ?
