Sorry for the urgency but despite all the reviews which are excellent for both cameras. Woukld you buy a used S602 for say £170 or a new Panasonic DMCFZ5 for £300?
I have lots of photographic experiance. Take general photographs with some portrait work.
Thoughts please. Urgent as may buy tonight!

FZ5, or the FZ20, they are cheaper in Honk Kong (try ebay). I paid £360 landed for an fz20, 1gb card, spare battery, camera case and bendy mini tripod deal. You'll need extra memory no matter which camera you buy.

The s602 is a brilliant camera, and after having one for a while, I look at the pictures that I took, and really think that the s602 cannot be faulted for the money, but if the panasonic has the Lieca glass on it, then thats what I would go for.

Great ... the Panasonic DMCFZ5 is a first rate P&S. I has a FZ 3 and still miss it now and again. Very discrete and good quality.
