Ideally something not too dear. Looking for a nice widescreen TV for when I start uni in September. Room is gonna be small so it's gonna have to be a flat panel one unfortunately.

Seen a few 27" LCD TVs in Dixons which looked terrible. Budget is up to around £1500. Will definitely consider second hand, just need to know which are the better models to look out for.

Cheers

I just got a Samsung 26" LCD. Internet price is about 1200.

I haven't noticed a problem with blurring so far (built-in analog tuner is the only source at the moment). Based on yesterdays football, a small "trail" is visible on the ball sometimes, but only really noticable when you look for it.

Also:
No speakers at the side (width less than 80cm).
PC input so can double as computer monitor.

But:
No digital tuner (would be nice, but STBs don't take up much space).

No doubt there will be even more models appearing before September.

Thanks for the advice.

Was thinking about 32" plasma but the price between that and 42 doesn't seem to be all that great. I've got enough saved up to be able to afford either but the less I spend the more I've got for drinking so I'll have to try and find a suitable compromise :)
