but the guy im getting them off doesnt have a sub, so Im looking to buy a cheap subwoofer. I have a goodmans 75w sub just incase I cant find 1.

Looking for a second hand, around £50. as cheap as possible. Hoping to get it by next week for mgs4.

50 pound will not buy you a subwoofer that performs better than those speakers, IMHO. And again IMHO, no sub is better than bad sub. So you'd better save longer and look for a second hand, decent sub in the classifieds ;)

    Really?

Theres surround sound sets for like £200 including a sub, so I cant find a second hand sub for less then £100?

:) Oh, you probably can, but don't expect miracles :)
What I mean is that your speakers deserve a good subwoofer. Compared with a 50 pounds subwoofer, the bass of your speakers will probably be better (just a guess).

    All the above are true

However if you are experimenting and just trying to find a sub

I got mine MS 308 for £50 of ebay , Luckily i knew the seller and had to collect

You can get a cheap gale off richer sounds £69 i think

None are brilliant but i dont want thunderous explosions my neighbours will complain

And it goes plenty loud enough for me

    regards

Thanks for putting things into perspective. Sometimes we go too crazy about reaching 15Hz  The truth is, if you have never heard a monster sub:suicide:, then an entry-level one will probably sound impressive.

My Gale 3070 is all-right too but I keep it very quiet! I know I'm missing out on something 'bigger' but with small kids I don't want to give them nightmares.

Having said that, I'm considering a REL Quake - just 'cos it fits under the side table :)
