Need a cheap party amp

I’m picking up the speakers shown at the bottom of this post for £25 on Saturday.

I wanted some cheap loud speakers suitable for sticking in the garden for parties.

But now I need a cheap and dirty amp that will make the most of them. I’ll be using a HTPC or a CD-Player as the source. Anybody got any recommendations?

Specs of the speakers is as follows:

Frequency response: 50-20,000Hz

Power: RMS - 150w Music - 250w

Efficiency (1w/1w) - 95dB

8ohm

26 1/2" high
15" wide
12" deep

:lease:

What power rating should I be looking at on the amp?

With a 95db sensitivity and an 8ohm load it dosnt really matter most amps would drive em to a pretty loud level. A solid 50watt into 8ohm design from one of the two companies I suggested should be fine.

I would suggest a NAD integrated like a C320.
These amps can chuck out some real current and more importantly for you, they are equiped with "SOFT CLIPPING".
