NEC XM3 Fan Noise advice?

Hi,

We were using this plasma for presentations/etc at work, but its now become surplus to requirements.

That means I get a HD 61" plasma to use for home :)

The problem is the Fan Noise is too loud for home use.

I have been doing some reading and found various suggestions, but nothing has helped. I've seen some people suggest the Fan intensity/threshold can be altered in the service menu. But I cant see anything in the Service menu to change it (entered via "Off Timer"/"Exit"/"Mute"/"Off Timer").

Any advice from other owners of this series of plasma would be greatly appreciated :smashin:

I've managed to find another service menu via "On"/"On"/"Exit"/"Display".

On this one I can see information about the Fans. But can't seem to change anything.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Well, I spoke to NEC and they weren't very forth coming.

I guess I'll either have to figure out some sort of venting or padding to stop reflection of the wall. Or failing that sell it and buy a silent one.
