Hi all, hope somebody can help me. I have a NEC V260W projector installed on the ceiling in my mancave it has been fine up until last Saturday we were watching the horse racing and the picture just went blank/black and after several seconds the projector turned itself off and would not go back on. having read the manual I was led to believe it was the lamp, although there was no on screen warning at all, so I bought a replacement lamp from projector lamps world, fitted it and it still shows a lamp fault, not sure where to go next . . . help ! ! !

    From the manual. Try this.

"NOTE: When you continue to use the projector for another 100 hours after the lamp has reached the end of its life, the projector cannot turn on and the menu is not displayed.
If this happens, press the HELP button on the remote control for 10 seconds to reset the lamp clock back to zero.
When the lamp time clock is reset to zero, the LAMP indicator goes out.

Hi, the lamp indicator is not lit, the status indicator is flashing red 6 times, which according to the manual is a lamp issue, so changed the lamp including the housing unit, but as soon as you turn on the red light starts flashing again ! there was no on screen warning the projector just went off.
