    Hi,

After having loads of help from here (cheers Gary)got in touch with NEC because my HT1000 would not light up and is only 18 months old (usage must be around 40% used). Said to them the problem was staus light would flash red and not the bulb light. NEC said it probably still is the bulb and to buy another, (£272 cheapest price) for all that money and it might not even be the problem. If pj does not still work then send it to them.

To top it all can not get a bulb, as everywhere they are all out of stock. 60 backlog at all sites. So will have to wait at least 2 weeks then it might not even be problem. Some of the stockists who seemed to know what they are on about said the bulb light should be on if thats the fault especially with NEC model.

What a mess, is it hard getting bulbs for other pjs? Sorry to go on just p...ed off a bit with all mess.

    Take care,

    Phill

If I remember correctly the HT1000 had a 3 year loan support warranty. In may be worth contacting NEC again and checking on this. As to what the problem might be, plead ignorance. The projector has stopped working and the lamp warning light isn't on so why should you buy a new lamp?

It may be worth contacting the dealer you purchased the unit from who may be able to intervene on your behalf. NEC are usually very good on warranty claims. We’ve only rarely had to use it as their projectors are more reliable than some so keep plugging away.
