I don't know jack about PC's, and need your help.

I am buying an NEC ND2500a DVD Writer and because it's OEM, it comes with nothing but the unit.

I need to know what cables and software & drivers, I need to install the unit and some detailed info as to how to install this in to my tower PC (win98SE).

    Thanks.

SVP sell an IDE cable and nero sofware, so will these be a good start ?

    What about drivers ?

    Thanks.

Haven't used '98 for a while but IIRC you won't need a driver.

A standard IDE cable & s/ware of choice is/should be all you need. If you've already got a CD-rw installed you've probably got a spare IDE connector. Just set the NEC as master & connect to the first connector. Set your existing CD drive as slave & connect to the second IDE connector (middle one).

    Best of luck :)
