    Hello,

Does anybody know anything about NEC HT1100 and how this projector compares with the more popular (and cheaper) LCD projectors like Sanyo Z3?

I don't live in the UK and the price for the Sanyo is 1150 pounds, and for NEC is 1850 pounds.

I wouldn't hesitate to go for the NEC, because it has much better ansi-contrast. I've had a HT1000 and it was quite stunning projector, contrast was good and the scaling and deinterlacing were excellent.

The closest lcd competitor for the NEC would be Sony HS50, but I'd still consider the NEC a little bit better.
