So, I'm sold on a Canon 300D, just need to convince the boss.

Also looking at a Panny DMR E60 recorder with SD slot.

Firstly, I presume the 300D will connect to my Pee Cee via USB?
Will need to upgrade to a CD or DVD writer to enable picture discs to be viewed on either PC and or DVD player?

Secondly, if the E60 accepts a CF card, how do you view the pictures? Do you have to copy to disc first, or is there some sort of viewing 'menu'

    regards

The pictures can be displayed on your PC once you have downloaded them from your camera (via USB)

You will only need a CD drive to install the software that comes with the camera.

You can download the pictures from the camera via USB onto your PC.

    Or

You can buy a CF card reader for your PC (under £30).

    Networkguy,
Don't think my original question was very clear..

In order to write discs viewable in a DVD player, will I need a DVD writer or just a CD writer for my computer?

Can the CF cards be inserted into the SD slot of the Panasonic DMR E60 recorder (with adaptor??) viewed, and/or copied to DVD ram discs?

I'm just trying to get a 'feel' how Digital photography would intergrate with a DVD recorder.

    regards

CD writer will do, just need to create VCDs with photos on. Saying that DVD burners down to £70 so its not that big a deal to get a DVD burner

Need to check what the DVD player is capable of reading: some can display jpegs, most can play VCDs/SVCDs, but some of the earlier ones wont play anything other than DVD.
