Hi guys. I'm a huge fan of NBA and UFC,MMA fights as well as some other sports.. I'm getting my TV for the first time with freeview HD this friday. What else do I need to have to watch NBA channel live games or have access to ESPN ?

I have virgin media broadband. Maybe I need to add some of their TV services added ? But I heard they do not have ESPN channel ? Or maybe this device would do a trick ? Humax HDR1000S 500GB | freesat+ G2 Box 500GB Hard Drive PVR | Richer Sounds

Please advice me for better/cheaper options to have access to the sports.

From August 1, 2013, the ESPN television channel in the UK and Ireland is part of BT Sport.

You need to sign up with BT or SKY. Virgin Media no longer airs the ESPN channel and it is now owned by BT. BT have a Sports package, but this package is only available to its customers or to SKY users:

Thank you for the detailed answer ! Well I have a contract with Virgin Media for 9 months still so subscribing to BT it's not a very good option.. unless it's quite cheap. Is there some way around to watch NBA without signing a contract with BT? My TV is smart Samsung FS60F5500 with all those smartHub options

I would check that SKY haven't got the NBA contract next year, ESPN might not have it - anyone know who has it now?

I don't think there's been any deal struck in relation to next year as yet? The 2012 - 2013 deal was with both SKY and ESPN.
