This might not be the right place... but...
My Noton Anti Virus Live Updates subscription runs out next week (after a year).
Can I download up to date virus definitions manually, or do I have to re-new my subscription to keep them up-to-date?
    Thanks.

To continue to get virus updates (either manually or from live update) from Norton you have to renew your subscription.

How is it a con? If your subs to a magazine run out should you be able to log onto the website and download it (or read it online)?

Ofcourse not. This is the same thing.
