Jim... it is a certainly a sad part of this human habit of polluting the environment for others...

Absolutely stunning stuff. If only . . . Thanks for the heads-up Raj. I can only dream of ever capturing those types of images, but if you're a globetrotter and/or have your gear with you 24/7/365, then maybe, just maybe . . .

love this one, looks like its going home after going shopping :D

i think the caption is a bit misleading though, it will be playing with the plastic bag and will come to no harm from it, they are not stupid enough to get tangled in it or eat it.

...not really the point though Ryan - the bag shouldn't "fekkin" be there in the first place

...also think you've been watchin to much HHGTTG....

Who's to say the bag wasn't attached to the dolphin by a diver just off camera? it looks as though it would fall off easily. Or is this me being cynical? fantastic as these photos are, some are definitely set up and not natural.
Some could say the dolphin has been exploited, although the message they are trying to put across is a noble one and needs highlighting.

i think you are being cynical, attached? if the dolphin didnt want the carrier bag it would have it, they really are smarter than that.

I would say that it was attached seconds before the photo was taken, the drag created by the open bag in the water would pull it off in seconds. Also what are the odds of finding a dolphin with a bag on its fin and having the camera ready to take the photo? Dolphins are pretty friendly and its not hard for a diver to get a drag through the water by grabbing it.

To be honest, that was my thought when I saw it. The heron photo is my favourite.
