NAS drive protection from internet attack?

I have recently purchased a Buffalo Linkstation Lite, mainly due to its small size, low power consumption and the fact it is near silent as its in a spare bedroom. I have set it up in mirror mode (Raid 1) and all seams fine as far as storage, backup etc is concerned.

I am still however worried about the possibility of people hacking into my NAS drive over the broadband connection, is this likely? I have a Linksys router/ADSL box with some basic firewall options, is this enough?

Thoughts please and solutions?

You router will have NAT enabled so as long as you have not set any port forwarding up, no-one on the outside will even know your NAS unit is there let alone be able to connect to it.
