Hi
I've tried to find the answer to my problem online but unfortunately I've drawn a blank.

I've got a LG Nas drive (which was a pain setting up, but I got there eventually). It works great from home - all my PC's, TV's etc find it and play with no problems. It is also found via my itouch and Android application (away from home).

The address is *myname* and then .lgnas.com

*I obviousy don't fancy putting the full address in the post :)

My question is, how can the drive be found via apps but not from my netbook or pc when I'm away from home? ie I don't get a "log in" screen. Its a "can not find website" screen.

I believe all correct ports etc are open. I believe the error must be between the PC/Netbook settings and hard drive. ??

Any help is very much appreciated as always.

It would help if you could post the model of your LG NAS drive and details of which Android app you are using.
Other info that may help would be what router you have and what ports you have opened already.

When using the PC/netbook away from home can you ping *myname*.lgnas.com ?
Can you use tracert to log a path to it ? e.g. tracert *myname*.lgnas.com
For the above it would help if you know what the external ip address is of your router.(you would need to log on to the router to obtain this).
