    People,

Been babbling on about this movie since its low key release last Jan/Feb.

    Out on DVD 1/9/2003.

Its a must see film and certainly worth owning. Some of the best acting you will see. Superb plot and dialouge - looks fantastic with a superb 5.1 soundtrack to boot.

In short my film of the year - so far.

I thought it was too gritty and dark although Liotta was excellent, didn't hold my attention as much as Dark Blue.

    Saw it last night.

I thought it was very realistic - I found the opening scene quite disturbing.

Although the acting was excellent and I enjoyed the film I think I prefered Training Day.

Agree with how good it is, not sure how a film can be too gritty thou, surely that was the point. And one of the few recent films where i couldnt work out the 'who dunnit' ending

i felt it was stylistically and thematically too gritty and hard-edged to get involved in, maybe it was just me.
It looked nasty and everything going on was nasty so I kind of switched off (not literally).

Very good film. I have the region 1 and found I was hanging on by the skin of my teeth to the dialogue. No allowance made for the viewer, you watch this film on its terms. That's good.
