Name the Tortoise

Snorlax...like the pokemon.

How about Terry, Tarquin or Tommy. Or Optimus Prime :D

Testudo - As in the the genus of Tortoise and the name of a Roman shield-based siege formation.

Arthur. All tortoises should be called Arthur.

I agree but sadly final decision is with the wife

You were there a few minutes before me. I was thinking of Baguette: crunchy on the outside, chewy inside. That or Speed Bump.

Baguette is the current favourite :smashin:

:rotfl:where did you buy it? and if you dont mind how much do they charge these days

i have had a tortoise for 32 years:thumbsup: was bought for me when i was born to be a lifelong pet by my grandad.
great idea and i love him to bits, his name is morris and he is a bit of a celeb around here as all the local kids love to visit him, you would also be very surprized at how quick he can actually move, especially when i show him a slice of water melon!!:smashin:

From one of those Reptile type specialist pet shops. Its a Red footed tortoise apparently, not like the old ones we had when i were kids that lived in the garden, this one has to live in a Vivarium and doesn't hibernate (So no carboard box in the garage :D)

Tortoise was about £100 and Vivarium setup etc.. was another £250.

Crunchy outside, chewy inside was inspired by that Gary Larson cartoon with the two polar bears munching on an igloo. Thinking about it, Igloo would also be a good name, not only for the previously mentioned qualities, but also for its shape and the "entrance" where a head pops out for a look-see.
