I've been after this film for a long time, now found there is a criterion release available.

But after searching round there are many versions, which is the better package ??

I'm sure the guru's out there would know ??

    Cheers Will:

Look's like the criterion release has the best extras, and the Jap version has the best film cut. But then the criterion version may only have DD2.0 sound, but that looks like the best offer compared to the poor DD5.1 versions.

    Ah well, choices, choices......... :D

It doesn't mention it being a different cut on the Jap disc... not that I could see

I can recommend the Criterion disc though :smashin:

Keep your eye out for the upcoming Criterion release of Videodrome too, out in August :smashin:
    Nice.

    Nice one Rambo,

Yes i love Videodrome too, so i'd be looking forward to that one, any more details on the disk ??

I think i mean a different sound mix (and not a film cut), between the Jap and US copies. But then it did state on that previous link, that the DD5.1 mixes were very poor. So it looks like it's the Criterion disc for me then with a DD2.0 mix.

    Cheers

    Cosmic
