I have just been down to audioT shop looking for an amp. The guy suggested the NAD352 or an Arcam A65 plus.

I was looking at the Denon PMA 1055R.

Which one is the best one to buy (reliability etc)

Depends on the rest of your system and musical tastes...
More into rock/metal? - go for the NAD
Looking for an all-rounder - the Arcam
Have you got a turntable? The NAD doesn't have a phono stage so budget for a good off board unit- at least £50 - if you do.
    Both good for reliability/service/backup.
Both good for upgrading with matching power amps if you wish to do so.
It is a personal thing, but I feel that alot of Jap. companies like Denon have lost their way in terms of 2ch. equipment, not having enough soul to them and instead concentrating on home cinema.
At the end of the day, they're your ears - take 2 or 3 of your fave discs (preferably extremes of your collection to show a good range of style - no point in just trying classical if you listen to Happy Hardcore aswell...), a spare hour or so and have a listen. You'll know when its right

Me - I'd go with the NAD. Excellent price vs. performance.
