    Hi all.

I'm looking for an A/V Rec/Amp and, after a long search, i have two choices, Nad T742 and Denon 1603.
It will be used for XBox gaming 40%, Home Cinema 40% and Music 20%.
Do you think that it worth the extra investment in NAD ???

I'm also looking for 5.1 Speakers to go with it. Right now i'm almost sure about the Infinity Alpha HCS II (529 Euros here in Spain). What do you think about them ???

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Katxi
The nad t742 is a very good receiver as it has all round ability it sounds good in surround sound and also very musical.Even though you only listen to music 20% of the time it would be nice to have good quality music and surround sound in one package.Iam pretty sure the nad would hold its own in movies and would definitely better the denon with music. Also the power output of the nad will be a true 50watts all channels driven it will also handle speakers down to 4ohms which some receivers seem to struggle with. If i had the choice i would go for the nad .Gonzo.
