Hi, im lookin for a amp for my PC.

    I have a small room(2.3M L* 1.9M W), with B&W DM110 speakers. (8 inch bookshelfs).

the amp will be connected to a pc with audigy 2. mostly used for gaming, movies, mp3.

the amps are Nad C320 BEE, Nad C350, Rotel Ra01, Arcam A65+. i can get em all for around the same price.

most of the music i listen to is rap, with a bit of rock. the room gets quite hot since its got a boiler in it, so I need a reliable amp that will last for a long time.

with that music choice you'll probably like the NAD long term but find yourself drawn to the rotel if you have a quick demo. I'd recommend the NAD for you definately.

Get a secondhand Rotel 971 or similar from eBay for around £100 :)

I wouldn't get the A65+ unless you are going to use its processor mode to provide a fixed gain to an av amp.

I'd go for the nad as it has a remote :)

I've only heard the NAD c350 - its what I own and to me it sounds great...but it worth trying to demo them all to see whats best for you.

went with the nad c350 in the end.

ive tried denon, yamaha, sony av amps with my speakers and cyrus. ive noticed that the speakers are quite bright, most of the above amps tended to give more on the treble and the bass wasnt very noticeable.

the a65 and ra01 seemed a bit light on the bass compared to the nad in the reviews i read, plus the nad had a 3 yr guarantee.

the other two were a bit more expensive and the nad had more power. ive had enuff of light bass and too much treble so it had to be nad.

    it came this morning.

result is the most balanced IMO ive ever had with these speakers. the bass, mid and treble are all well balanced. and it finally sounds like ive got 8" woofers. :)
