Im currently running the Nad machine with the amp and it sounds awesome to my ears.
Only trouble is sometimes the cds distort with digital crackle. The Nad used to be paired with a nad amp upstairs and did it a few times with that too, so its deffo the player. sometimes ejecting the cd and turning the unit on and off will cure the problem, but it can be a major PITA. Sometimes it decides to not want to eject as well.
I was thinking of getting a replacement cd player to use with the arcam in my living room and sending the nad back upstairs with his buddy amp.
im using the DAC in the arcam and intend to do the same with the replacement CD player. am i right in thinking i will notice any difference in sound with a replacement player?
I had my eyes on a cambridge audio CD5. will this be up to scratch?
