    hi

i have a nad 521i cd player. i can no longer play cd's and just get the cd whirling round and the display flashing.

when i eject a disc it sounds as if something is scratching the top of it.

thought i would try my luck in here to see if anybody has had the same problem before i fiddle with it.

    any help appreciated

    cheers for the reply bobbypunk.

i did'nt know that and it's less than 2 years old.

bought it from richer sounds which give you a 1 year standard garantee.

    i'll give them a call.

    thanks again.

My C521BEE (the replacement for the C521i) started doing this in about mid-May this year. My local dealer sent it back to Lenbrook (the distributors for NAD) for me and it was repaired in about 2 weeks under warranty. Lenbrook didn't say what the problem was.

Hope you get it sorted soon!

    dear oh dear

cannot find the receipt so just about to take it apart.

thought i would just blow into the tray slot and it worked.

    appears to have been dust.

nsherin ,thanks for the reply. maybe thats what they did to yours.

    Bisher,

Glad it sorted itself out. I found my CD cleaning disc the other day actually. If only I'd looked for it, then it may not have needed to go to the dealers. Having said that, it's been working perfectly since it's been returned, so long may the tunes last
