Right folks, I own an orange N95, yes it lacks the some of the good stuff that the N95 should have, like Voip, but thats an orange N95 for ya. I didnt think it was that bad a phone til someone pointed out its flaws then I kinda got disheartened by it. Anyway to cut a long story short, I found a little program last night on another forum, with a walk through guide, to debrand your N95. I was skeptical as I didnt wanna ruin my phone, after all, it's an expensive little piece of kit, but I went for it anyway and it was soooooo easy!!! in less than 2 mins I had changed the firmware number on my phone (so it wasn't the same as orange's) to the standard UK N95 firmware number (firmware numbers are supplied in the walkthrough, dont panic). Then just did a software update on the nokia website and voila!!! Voip!!! the irritating photography software is gone, I have my alarm clock back, there's no stupid 'Orange' flash on start up, basically its now a nokia N95 the way Nokia intended it to be!!:smashin::D

Now for obvious reasons (forum rules) I cant post links to other forums etc, but if you gimme a pm, I'll give you the link to the site, if you wanna debrand your N95, its soooooo easy!!!

    Marti . . .

truscotsman72, please can you stop bumping this thread. It's completely uneeded and there has been plenty of discussion on this forum regarding debranding - it was a regular topic on here, and all over the net, when the phone was first released. If people search, they will find it. It does not even provide details on how to do it. Thanks :)
