    Hi there,

    I need some help with connecting my N64 to my new tv. I don't have a modified N64 and don't want to modify it to RGB output cos my dvd player uses the one RGB for the tv.

    But.... i wanna connect my N64 to the back of the tv with a scart cable that is compatible with s-video. Problem is... where do you get these cables?????

    I've seen N64 -> Red/white/yellow plugs
    and N64 -> s-video 4pin plug
    and N64 -> scart (red/white/yellow)

    BUT NO N64 -> scart (s-video) cable!!!

    HELP!!!

    Does anyone know where to find these cables please?

    Thanks

    Argh, but WHERE do you get these S vhs cables from? No where seems to sell them. I only have a composite at the moment and want a s video one to plug into my amp and improve picture at the same time. But maybe the composite can plug into an amp as well...

    Try contacting www.ravengames.co.uk
    Last time I checked they had gamecube Svideo>Svideo via Scart leads for sale. They should work fine with an N64.

    It's S-Video and YES they are rare but they do exist (I found one, woohoo). I believe they're standard equipment in the US though.
    You can also use it for your SNES, same connector.

    And you can find a S-Video+composite <-> Scart coverter block in any decent AV store for $5 or so.

    I got my s-video + 2 phon from either Game or HMV. If they no longer stock it I'm Sure Keen Electronics will - I got my PS1 to S-video cable from them.

    www.keene.co.uk

    Now if I could only find a PS-2 to component then I would be a happy camper!

    S-Video cables for the N64 are not hard to come by, almost any import shop will do them, especially since they are the very same ones used for the Gamecube. Try:

    http://www.chipsworld.co.uk

    http://www.videogameimports.com

    http://www.anotherworld.co.uk

    You won't however, find one with a hard-wired Scart at the end instead of the Audio L/R and S-Video DIN plug but all you need is a Scart end adapter that you plug the other 3 cables into. You can get these in any TV shop/hardware store or even Argos/Index. Expect to pay no more than £5 for one.

    If you're still having trouble finding the right connection, let me know and I'll sort you out.

    Thanks for the sites, but i found lots of similar sites that were very vague about the cables and didn't show a photo! I like to see what i'm ordering.

    Also, the cable i have can be connected to all consoles and whichever one is on, will connect to the tv. Therefore, no seperate cables for each system. (see photo)

    But it's best to shop around.

    :lol:
