to be honest i wouldnt worry mine is stuck on wonky and i think its one of those stickers that rips when you try and take it off.

Ive also heard stories that people have sent consoles for repairs with a sticker at all and not had a problem due to it being a 3rd aprty company fixing them who dont really care.

Did you buy it brand new? Did the box have the big round see through sticker on it?

I managed to take mine off and reseal it pretty well, i haven't taken it back i didnt need to, plus its outside warranty now anyway.

I just got UPS labels sent for my 3RLOD core unit.. which has no sticker. Wish me luck ;)

Previous owner had it in a black-knight case, hence the lack of sticker. I also have a working Premium (also been repaired by M$!) so it's not big deal if they dont fix it + I'll just do the x-clamp fix myself.

I thought I'd try M$ anyway. Nothing ventured and all that...

You do know the warranty has been extended to 3 years?

Only for ROD, not drive failure or any other failure. The 360 still has a one year warranty except for ROD.:thumbsdow

Every 360 I have seen has had some sort of damage to the warranty sticker and on many occasions they have not been put on straight or even completely. i was able to remove my own without any additional damage it was put on so badly. But as long as it covers the split between the top and bottom of the case, I suppose it is doing the job it is designed for.

Is it true the new 360's come with "windows"-style warranty stickers, paper with the silver strip through them?

When ever buying a second hand 360 you should always check to make sure the warranty seal has not been tampered with. Also unless you buy it from a trustworthy source like a close friend or family member I would also test it to make sure it hasn't been modded. If it has been then you may have problems if you go on Xbox Live.
