Quick question does this player feature progresive Scan?,the reason I ask is that it is connected to my TV through the component video output. And when I watch films my TV is set to progressive scan and want to know if I am benefiting from it?

    Many thanks,

    Joe.

No!! The sony dvp s725 has components output which are capable of interlaced pictures only, just like my sony dvp s7700.

However connecting through component offers better picture quality than even rgb scart.
