I saw it was a bedroom and thought "what a player" till i noticed the toy cars :D

Looks ace mate, i've always liked kef floorstanders, look very nice indeed. Why keep the stickers on the sony?

Agreed, that's definately not a small set up. Looks powerful yet discreet  Let us know if you ever upgrade to a "big" setup

Looks great!!!! hardly a small setup though!!!

why you upgrading your denon amp?

I am after a HDMI switching amp, that can reproduce true HD sound.

As at the mo, i am only getting basic DD EX sound at best.

Plus the new amp will support all the lastest formats and also be able to stream music from the PC  :smashin:

I like your taste in gear! Bravia 40W - check; Sky HD - check; PS3 - check; Kef PSW 2500 Sub - check! :D

I'm even using the same trunking as you - in Magnolia! :rotfl: BTW, for those interested in the trunking - you can pick them up from theplasmacentre.com as andyitr said, but you can get them cheaper if you buy direct from http://www.d-line.co.uk/ - recommended! :)

Well after all that, you won't be surprised to hear that I love how it's all come together. It looks very tidy and purposeful, and I really like how it works alongside the computer desk. That's a room for some serious entertainment, and that's before the bed is brought into the picture. ;)

Great job and big smiles,

Andy.

P.S. You can see my set up here... - and I even have stickers on the latest equipment purchases.

If you don't mind could I ask you to provide your room measurements, and the if possible the way you have laid out your furniture?
Thanks

Hi Chap,

Yes I am very impressed with them.

I was after something that was good for music and also movies. 60% of the use of the front speaks is for music, this is one of the main reasons I when for the iQ7 over the lower models.

I was looking at a few makes and models in the shop and to me this Kef's sounded very impressive.

I did look at the KHT 5005.2 and the 3005.2's these speakers where very good for the movie / Gaming side of things but not all that for music. This was one of the main problems i found with the smaller speakers.

I've been thinking about replacing the sub once i get the new amp all in, as i feel this is the weaker part of my speaker setup. Don't get me wrong it’s a fantastic sub but I am after something with a bit more impact in movies.

I'd differently recommend BI amping the fronts though as it really does improve the sound.

IMO The AVR1907 is just enough to power the Kef's how some times i do think it struggles. Hopefully the new AVR 3808 or other brand amp should be more then powerful enough to do the job.
