Received a 945 from pixmania today and connected it to my optoma dlp tv set with the hdmi-dvi cable supplied.Picture quality is impressive and is set to 1080 resolution. The player will play anything...computer mpegs, dual layer recordable dvds etc.

Audio output is set to bitstream and with no probs to my sony 795 amp (coaxial lead).

Will a branded dvi lead improve things.Or is the digital info as good as it will get...?

Which in theory should be the best pq....1080,720,...etc

Can i get the remote to control my amp volume or vice versa....How can i set it?

    Hi Marts,

Picture quality should be set to 720p for best quality.

People say a higher quality DVI cable does make a difference, personally I would have to see some scentific proof before I bought one. As the connection is all digital how would a more expensive cable benefit the signal ?

Dont know about the Amp question........
