Well picked up the pronto yesterday and found that it wasnt working, so turned it over to check the batterys only to find that the back cover was all disstorted and when removed the cover top end were the springs are is MELTED the batterys look fine (no leaks) but the plastic is way out of shape, its a 940 which ive had from new and has not been abused so this is a supprise but what was more of a worry is that it had been sat on the sofa and Im lucky that the heat generated to warp the plastic didnt scorch or set the sofa alight !!!

Has anybody else had similar trouble with the pronto before?

I had been using uniross re-chargeable batterys
