Is the advert now showing for this model?

My company have been doing the telecine and grading for the advert shot on film in South Africa.

The car looks stunning... esp in a desert with blue sky with a model driving it! :smashin:

Snap I thought it looked identical to the DB9. Didn't realise they had the same designers though.

Wouldn't mind one of those either :D
    Why thank you :smashin:

I thought it looked a bit like a DB9 and Hyundai Coupe had mated...beautiful looking car but if it has the build quality of the old one it will be a bit pants. The XJ series Jag has to be just about the crappiest built luxury car on the road.

where d'you get that from? we had an R reg (98) XJ8 4.0 until this year, 70k miles and it never needed more than an oil change. no rattles, fantastic build quality!

It is a stunning car, much better value than a DB9 (which seem to be owned/driven by gangsta's these days :( ) They do still have their problems but so do a lot of cars.
I have worked on many over the years and they were sods to work on and not that reliable, the latest generations though both XJ and XK are far superior than their ancestors.
    Cheers,
    oddbodd.

I forgot about them, they probably have one for every day of the week the money they earn :(
No unfortunately I meant villains, they seem to be prospering while everybody else is struggling. Having said that they are legitimate business men now  , I think a lot of them are into owning bars, clubs and property these days and they can make mega bucks without attracting any attention. Where the money came from in the first place nobody knows :nono:
    Cheers,
    Oddbodd.

The last XJ consistently won JD Power surveys towards the end of its life. There were a few faults with early X300s but later ones are a bargain.

As for the new XK: it is basically a badge-engineered DB9. Which goes someway to explaining why it looks a little similar...
